Welcome again to Friday's Feast. Today I'll be talking about a great hot dog stand. Several months ago my wife and I learned about a great little hot dog stand called Hot Doug's. We knew that there was always a line— especially on a weekend. So one weekend when it was raining all day we decided to give it a try. "There shouldn't be a line because it's raining" we thought… we were so wrong.
When we got there around 1:00 PM the line ran half way down the block. Luckily we had umbrellas and didn't mind standing in the rain. We finally got to the door around 3:30 PM— a half an hour before they were closed.
We both got "The Dog" so that we could see how they make a Chicago Style hot dog. We also got an order of their famous Duck Fat Fries which are french fries fried in Duck Fat. Every day they have different specials, so we decided to get some of those as well. Since they change their specials daily I can't find what we may have had— but I do know that they were both delicious.
Even though we waited a long time— it was definitely worth the wait.

I've heard that hot dog stands are the best way to eat hot dogs. Unfortunately, I live in a small town and they have nothing like that around here. It sounds so good!
There is nothing quite like a hot dog that came off a cart or stand. My dad used to make sure he'd get one at least once a month, and try a new cart each time! This place sounds great.
I'm in for next weeks Ice Cream F2. Actually, I can't wait. If there's one thing I love, it's ice cream (stop looking at my ever expanding waste...one as nothing to do with the other!)
