I guess we all have out strange rituals when it comes to wishing and wishes. For me it's wishing on a Car:
When I was in High School I was riding with my sister who upon seeing a car with one headlight turned to me and said: "pick a day of the week"— to which I replied: "Tuesday", then she said: "then Tuesday will be your lucky day". It seems strange to wish upon a Car… but every time after that I've always picked Tuesday as my lucky day.
Sometimes I ponder the weight of the wish… Is it one for myself, a few people, or even a large group of people? Other times I realize that my wishes may be extremely vague on purpose… I wish I had clarity in thought to make sure I make up a good wish for the Spin Cycle. (huh???)
What about you— do you have any strange wishing rituals? Do you find yourself struggling to come up with a unique wish— or do you always wish for world peace?

I think I always slap a world peace shout out at the end of every wish, but mostly I just wish for my family to be safe. I don't want for much, but I do make wishes over traintracks when crossing. :-)
You're linked!
I try to keep my wishes small. It's easier for them to come true.
Like Sprite's keeper I make a wish crossing train track, we also would stomp our feet. I don't do that so much when I am driving now a days.
I say, "I wish...." probably a dozen times a day, but it's almost always something insignificant, like "I wish my kids would quit fighting" or "I wish the floor would stay clean for more than 7 minutes." That kind of thing.
I wish when I see 11:11 on a clock and to make it come true I have to look back at 11:12, but I can't SEE the clock turn to 11:12 because then the wish won't come true or if I don't look back until 11:13 or later, then it also is wrecked. Now I realize how dumb this is, but a teacher told me this so I will probably always do it as a tribute to one of the best men I ever knew!
First star at night...lucky penny (heads up only)...shooting star...coin in the well (fountain)...always wish for World Peace.
I love the car tradition.
Lately, I have been wishing for clarity. Clarity of purpose, clarity of thought...
