I learned in college the importance of writing for clarity. Since many of my series posts need to be read alone as well as part of the series, I have to labor a bit more in order to make it clear to the reader.

I will have to post about the difference in my strategies when it comes to both poetry and blog posts since many of you incorporate the same strategy in your posting as I do with my poetry.Cajohhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17705931109877069830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6978299881371780671.post-16332832178492535732009-12-15T23:43:19.783-06:002009-12-15T23:43:19.783-06:00Yeah, I find that if I start writing something and...Yeah, I find that if I start writing something and never post it, it just wasn't meant to be. My best posts are about things that just hit me and I have to get them down quickly. I might step away for a few hours then finish them up if I'm really busy, but I always post them within a day.Gretchenhttp://www.secondblooming.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6978299881371780671.post-82798750637450751592009-12-15T18:26:45.946-06:002009-12-15T18:26:45.946-06:00Try doing a Theme Thursday, those are fun!Try doing a Theme Thursday, those are fun!Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03158978490041796686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6978299881371780671.post-8532970020050589432009-12-15T17:35:13.819-06:002009-12-15T17:35:13.819-06:00I'm with Mrs. Bear - if I have a draft sitting...I'm with Mrs. Bear - if I have a draft sitting for too long, I end up deleting it without posting it because the 'immediacy' gets lost on the line of thought I had started with.

I pretty much sit down the day before I'm going to post something and just write it start to finish - but I'll usually step away (mostly because I get interrupted a lot if Hovering Hubby or Princess Nagger are around when I do it) and come back to it later to tweak it before I schedule it to post at midnight.Stacy Uncorkedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10084619026794128825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6978299881371780671.post-8206673230329636222009-12-15T16:08:17.611-06:002009-12-15T16:08:17.611-06:00I find that unfinished drafts rarely make it to be...I find that unfinished drafts rarely make it to being published. I think for me, when I set it aside, it tends to lose its immediacy, and if I try to go back to it, it's nearly impossibly to find that thread again. I try my best to write it all in one setting, although plenty of times I can't find the time to sit down and do it because life and four children won't let me, so occasionally it's a week or more between posts.

Also, thanks for stopping by this fine Tuesday.Mrsbearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16338013137281543065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6978299881371780671.post-70092065451743637052009-12-15T15:29:32.636-06:002009-12-15T15:29:32.636-06:00I usually just write and post... Occasionally, though, I will labor over something for a week or so, tweaking every day.

Hmmmm. So I guess I'm kind of all over the board, huh? I wish I was more organized and had a handful of go-to posts ready at any moment, though.
